George Siede is a life-long photographer and co-founding partner in Siede Preis Photography.
Unlike his wife and business partner in Siede Preis Photography, George is a mostly self-taught artist. Following graduation with a “sensible” degree in business from Florida State University he decided to take some photography courses in order to expand on the basics and have access to the photo labs in The Fine Arts Department. While there he discovered a spirit of shared learning and camaraderie among the artists - a creative environment he would continue to enjoy when he left his home state of Florida to accept a position as the assistant director of the Media Center at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Over the course of a lifetime spent working as a photographer George has advanced his photography skills as a commercial photographer and artist through research, experimentation, and this same creative osmosis that comes from being around other artists and photographers.
