Ghost Stations
Across the American landscape gas stations are so ubiquitous that we either take them for granted or ignore them completely. I am fascinated by old abandoned gas stations because they are such time capsules, ghostly reminders reflecting the architectural styles of bygone eras. At times I will come across an old station that has been repurposed to serve the needs of another type of business or even adapted for residential use but you can always tell them by the raised concrete island that once held the pumps. This is a collection of some favorites from the series.
